Lake Swimming
On a hot summer day, what could be more refreshing than slipping into the cool waters of a nearby lake?
Whether you have been open water swimming for years or just fancy giving it a go, a quiet lake is a great place to swim. It doesn't matter whether its your first time or you're a seasoned swimmer it's always fun to go with a bunch of like minded people.
Lake swimming is an amazing adventure. Rivers, lakes and waterfalls, coves, caves and beaches, are cleaner, safer and more accessible than at any time in living memory. The health benefits of a wild swim or natural dip are well known, so take the plunge and dip in.
Calm lakes are ideal to relax and play all day with your friends.
You can hop in whenever you feel like it, dunk each other, jump about, float on truck tyres, and take many photos.
Students swim after lessons.

Posted by Tee, Chiang Mai, ThailandMy friends and I often swim in the Huay Tueng Tau Lake near Chiang Mai after university classes. If we don't have time to go there, we jump into the moat around the old town, just to cool off.
Swimming is easy. Climbing out in wet clothes can be a bit of a challenge.
